Jayme Gaspar is executive director of Heritage Mississauga, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of local history. Here’s what she had to say about hosting The Souterrain Impressions Exhibition from Sept. 26 to Nov. 30, 2015.

"The Souterrain Impression Exhibition is the kind of exhibit that brings heritage to life. Until you’ve had an emotional connection to something you don’t really or truly appreciate the rest of the story. The things people say after they’ve seen it are wonderful. It starts the conversation about how important it is to look back and understand. That’s what our heritage is all about.”

Mr. Jeremy Diamond is the Executive Director of the Vimy Foundation.

“This exhibition is a part of our story and because the original carvings reside in a place where very few people have been – in the underground caves in France – this is an opportunity for a lot of Canadians to see them. This is a story all Canadians should know about.”
